Like any Boss Battle, Farming is Key. The more money you can obtain from the early game, the better your chances to beat Vortex. Upgrade the dart monkey to 0-0-2 and the sub to 2-0-3 to defend camo bloons and get a 0-2-0 wizard when necessary to defend against lead bloons. After tier one is popped, the sub and a 0-3-2 wizard monkey should defend pretty much all the way to round 60 so most, if not all, of your money should be put toward top path banana farms.

Well, to be fair, Vortex in Btd6 hits towers based on how close they are to the boss, and as for the reference to Blastopopoulos, well I guess I was thinking they could add a boss mechanic from an older game (targeting most expensive) to BTD6
