The 1301 is a great shotgun in its own right, and Beretta has a very rich .mil history across the board and is more ingrained in military weaponry than Benelli is. Benelli also makes amazing hunting shotguns.

The Benelli M4 is a great shotgun but it’s heavier than the 1301. Then depending on the set up you’re going to spend additional money to tweak it to fit your needs. The 1301 is light as all get out but recoil is light. Like there is no way a shotgun that light should recoil this light.
