We did just get it. So what I've noticed is if you get to a certain point you can start doing quests from each of the village leaders. That will advance the "stay vigilant" quest. Just do every quest you can find in each of the villages. We're at the point where it says to find a way to make the Oxbow a better place.

So if you want to manage your village so it maintains itself, you maybe should sleep every now and then. Besides - you don't really have an advantage if you work through the night. The sleep mechanics is a matter of seconds so in real life hours you dont gain anything. I agree with OP. I don't sleep in the game.

When you build your own village, you can sleep and cook in your worker's houses, they don't mind. And making a campfire is super cheap (16 sticks). You can just put one down whenever you need a nap. Nothing will bother you while you're asleep (the game basically just instantly changes the time).

Being able to complete a quest requiring a bear kill is more important than modelling the hibernation behaviour.
