I've just completed No NGU challenge 1-4 yesterday with only 200 levels of A/D hack. My A/D does not get above 1 until about 5 minutes in and I didn't kill the first boss until ~15 minutes, but then the combination of Wandoos 98 (advanced training needed), 30 minute fruit activations, and the augment cascade after Boss 17 brings my completion time of the first challenge to about 1 hour. You get bonuses to AP gain from achievements, which are mostly based on energy and magic milestones, most of which you won't have yet.
