Hardest part is splitting the tractor, once trans is out, disassemble get a rebuild kit, replace all your bearings, bushings, check gears for excessive wear, replace if needed, I like doing rebuilds on cold winter days so I can leave shafts outside nice and cold and heat bushings a little so they slide on easy.
