You really need to fondle both guns. I bought the G36 having handled all 3--36, 30S and 30. What good is a narrow slide if the frame is still wide. I can't seem to understand the hype of a 30S. In my experience, both these calibers need an efficient compensator (muzzle brake) to tame the recoil sufficiently with the G30/30SF.
