I beleve they can put it up and down as they please, Its mostly for the DEEP units to talk to Madison PD from Hammo state park. Madison is not changeing over to the CLMRN system

they have officially switched over to the new system statewide, and unpatched the old smartzone. there are MANY new talkgroups on this system including ones for regional dispatch centers. Guess I have to finally get a P2 scanner because I hear nothing on the smartzone anymoreMeriden, West Haven and Orange just changed fairly recently. Fairfield County has far more with Bridgeport, Monroe, Newtown, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston, Wilton, Greenwich (TRS), and Stamford (CLMRN TRS) PD's. But if you Look at Hartford County, its about the same numbers as New Haven County.
