I usually wait till next rotation to pick up a specific exotic if I don't get it with approx., 10 clears. Can confirm can get more than 1 character. Did my Warlock and then Titan and able to get a helm for each in about 90 minutes of farming. RNG can just take awhile some times. I get around 1 per 5 runs.
