Remove the two floor boards in front of your seat and under the brake pedals. The wiring likes to rub through where it passes over the top of the transmission control valve. Looking down from the seat it would be on the right side top of the transmission. Check there. That same wiring goes to a Cannon plug.

Recently the local JD dealership called and informed us that the tractor is in need of a new transmission (been at the dealer for nearly 6 months).You may have transmission pressure problems. Forward clutch valve problems. Forward cooling valve problem. Or as stated above your forward clutch drum may be cracked. It was real common in the early 20 series. My suggestion would be to have deere come out and pull some codes. There is a diagnostic procedure to remedy this problem.1. Tractor. Ford New Holland 2120. Have a New Holland 2120 with shuttle shift trans. Been slipping out of gear. Suspect turtle/rabbit switch and/or shuttle shift switch. Cleaned them out and appear to be working. Odd thing is, tractor engages and runs well for about 20 minutes, then starts slipping out of gear.

Ninety percent (90%) of all pump problems occur on the suction/intake side of the pump. Suction leaks and pump shaft leaks will cause a pump to lose prime. T.

It is possible that something in the shuttle shift system is bogging down the engine to where it dies.
