Your job is to deny as much gold as possible so he can't build any significant armor items. Every time you see him walk up to farm, empower Q him.

Before the rework, Mundo definitely hard countered mordekaiser. However after the rework, I feel like morde beats Mundo pretty handily. the main build path I did was jak'sho, rylai's, boots, demonic, sunfire, and warmog although I also tried rylai's first for a few matches but the difference doesn't feel that different the healing is very meh even with full tank build which is why I went warmog last but the resistences given is really good. It's nearly a certain death. Many times you will find yourself having to sit under tower and stack because of this. Morde isnt an easy matchup, but the best advice I could give you is rush negatron cloak and pick fights around levels 4, 5 and botrk spike.
