The MCX has pros and cons. Pro. Cons. The SR-15 is an evolved AR-15 with some downsides. The major advantage the SR-15 has over the MCX is that it is much lighter and the rail is very solid and holds zero across the entire length. The weight reduction is the biggest pro for me.

Both legacy and Virtus Carriage Assemblies have longer op rods then Rattler's. Changing this rod isn't particularly difficult, but probably isn't something you'd enjoy with every barrel change.
