Thanks for the info, yes the Area 419 parts are awesome. Tough decision. Interesting that the Bergara website doesn't seem to use the word match anywhere when talking about the B14r. And it appears to be a full custom job to upgrade the barrel someday. Lot's of options for the CZ though, and the MTR and LRP are match grade out of the box.

I have a RimX and a Bergara B14R. My Bergara is the carbon barreled version and it performs fine in the hot Georgia sun. Saying that I would get the steel for balance. I have mine in an Element chassis and use it for prone and offhand shooting. Accuracy isn’t a problem. The bolt is hard to close and isn’t as nice as the RimX.

These targets were shot at 50 yards from a bench with SK Pistol Match Special cartridges. The thick green 10 ring is 1/2 inch in diameter.Here is why: The real “advantage” of the Tikka is you can shoot NRL22 in Base Class and still have room for a decent optic. The use of an aftermarket stock immediately places you in Open Class. The cost of a T1X plus the KRG is not that far off from a B14R barreled action plus KRG. The Tikka is very nice, but is a light rifle.I've used Vortex PMRs in 1.0" and 1.1" height as well as Athlon medium rings in 1.09" height, all on 20MOA rails. They've all worked fine. I slightly prefer the taller 1.09 and 1.1 inch rings for head position, but the 1.0 inch rings provide plenty of objective clearance on my B14R also. P.
