First game i'm picking up is going to be Bannerlord after putting in countless hours into Warband. I have been watching non stop gameplay of it, but still can't decide what kingdom i'm joining when I start my new adventure.One is made up of line breakers and legionaries and they eat other infantry units for breakfast while helping me pin down enemies for my archers to take pot shots at. My second squad is made up of darkahns and its only job is to stab the cavalry that tries to wheel around the other group and kill my archers. 1.Battanian Skirmisher. No special unit trees for infantry: Druzhinnik tree has Varyag and Varyag Veterans (both one-handed and shield units IIRC). But they switch to cavalry when upgraded. Legionairies are meant to set the standard for "Heavy Infantry" in Bannerlord, IMO, both according to "canon" as well as practical effect. I don't think there's a good "versus" comparison on paper.
