I think most if not all 3ph's have two possible oil paths to the cylinder. One path is through the flow control valve and the other is through a ball check valve that is part of the flow-control valve assembly. Using the scoop is an exercise in developing hydraulic control finesse. I don’t always go the extra mile, but when I do, it’s because I missed my exit.
