I know someone who got in to MIT EA (through QB, they were a finalist but didn’t match) and got the gates scholarship, so if you’re thinking they might not award you the scholarship bc you matched that prob won’t be the case. When it comes to this essays I would say try to think about the main point you want to hit, and if possible try to stay within a single narrative. Meaning instead of trying to tell the whole story of your life focus on 1-2 overarching themes. Think of stories and examples that really support and show that.
