If the receiver has the same serial number as under barrel on the left front side of ring with the bu or bugn proofs then Mauser firm could have reused a sporter inventory action destined for the gunsmith trade as these actions in most cases had the serial number under action etc. The stock has not been cleaned or sanded and shows only normal handling marks. Even with the wear, this rifle is valuable and would be a centerpiece in an advanced collection.
