22 posts · Joined 2007. #3 · May 5, 2008. First look at the wiring diagram and see which wire should have feed. Need to load test that with a headlight to make sure that circuit can carry a load. Then check the trigger wire, preferrably with a labscope. Good signal or no signal, determines which way to go next.
Mostly do oil and filter changes although I recently had to adjust some bent clamps on the dirt bike handlebar. My current issue is that one of our KFX 90 Atv won’t start. The throttle stop screw is adjusted to where you want it to idle after it is warmed up. Hey all, I have a 02 KXF50 that is giving me fits. First the ATV was running, giving a little starting trouble and then just wouldn't start. After checking compression, it had about 30lbs. I changed the rings with stock rings and now it pumps up to about 80lbs.I believe the LTA 50 only has the one speed restictor. It is a washer that restricts exhaust. I know the LT 80 has both the washer as well as a carb restrictor. My son got his first quad (LTA50) this past christmas, but has already moved up to the Kawasaki KFX80 (Suzuki LT80).
