The appointments on this instrument are great and the amount of production relic is spot on. I play a ‘71 Hagstrom H1B which is short scale. One single, fairly hot pickup and a set of flat wounds. 1) Use a flatheaded screw driver and pull out all the frets. 2) Use 220 grit sandpaper (pretty fine grit) and sand it down till smooth (its rough after you take the frets out). 3) Take wood filler and fill each slot with it and let dry for a couple hours.In comparison to a standard 34" scale bass, the multi-scale length on the Cort A5 SCMS feels very comfortable. The range is 35.5" to 34” scale with the low B @ 35.5” and the high G @ 34” with E - A - D strings in between.
