An update to my original post and some more information. I fished the Dynamix 6 weight this weekend with a 250 grain sink tip line and it was a blast. We were hitting the banks with casts of 30-60 feet from a boat and it performed like a champ. You couldn't force the rod but with a nice relaxed stroke it easily got the job done.Light weight but Orvis did a good job keeping enough material to maintain rigidity. It could even be a little heavier. Machine work looks very good. It’s got a great incoming and outgoing sound with the outgoing being a little muted. More drag than any trout reel needs, most of it comes in the last 1/4 turn.

Squirmy wormy's may "lessen the experience" for you. For some of us we are still learning and enjoying any experience we have. Some of us live in places where we don't get to "dry fly" fish all day long. We have to do what we can with what we have.
