I am pretty sure what you are seeing is a weapon that has been repaired by a repair kit and has had a modification applied to it, giving it extra stats to the item. If you were to inspect the weapon and go down to the bottom of the stats, you can see the modification that has been added to the weapon. Happy Escaping!
